Tricks To Getting Your Your Kids To Dress Themselves

When letting your kids put on their own socks and pants it will help them if they are sitting down. Drawing smiley faces on the inside of each shoe so that the faces will “kiss” when they put their shoes on. And button up shirt from bottom to top so that they won’t miss one. I hope that these few suggestions will help because they have been helpful for my three year old.

Get tested be safe

Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome also known as HIV/AIDS is a life threatening infection. This is transmitted sexually ( anal, oral, and virginal intercourse), blood contact, and from mother to newborn. HIV as spread worldwide since 2001 infecting over 36 million people. Despite its well known consequences, this just points out how difficult it is to change risky sexual and drug-taking behavior.

Breakfast for Dinner?

Is it bad to give your kids cereal for dinner? I’m going to have to say no. I use to feel bad when I was to tired or if it was just to late for me to cook so I would give my kids cereal for dinner. I thought to myself as long as it doesn’t have to much sugar than what could be the harm? By choosing the right brands to give to my kids for dinner they are not really missing out on anything. Like kix’s says “kids tested mothers approved.”

STD’s or venereal diseases are short term to describe more than 20 different infections caused by exchange of semen blood and other bodily fluids. The rate of STDs in this county is 50-100 times higher than any other nation. 12 million new infections occur in the US each year between ages 16-19. 65% of STDs affect people under age25.

Medina is the World’s Youngest Mother.

World’s youngest mother is a five year old Peruvian girl. Medina started menstruating at 8 months and had developed breasts and pubic hair by the time she was four. Medina’s parents thought that she had an abdominal tumor. A month later she gave birth to a baby boy on mother’s day in 1939. Check out a picture of Medina and her baby boy. http://youngest_mother.tripod.com/

Appropriate Attire

Not sure on what to wear to an interview? Well here are a few suggestions.
For the men can we please make sure that we are clean cut, take out the earrings and it is ok to put on a suit and tie. Try to avoid flashy patterns and bright colors. You don’t want the interviewer to be paying more attention to you clothes than to you.
For women let’s make sure that we are not showing too much skin, avoid too much make up or at least use natural colors. Not to much “flashy” jewelry it can be distracting.
In general let’s just make sure that we are “business casual” without over doing it. Oh yeah can we be easy on the perfume and the cologne.

Let's Get Educated

In the 1990 the rate of teen pregnancy was at an all time high. I’m glad to say that it has dropped. More young adults and teenagers have been getting educated on safe sex. Abstinence is the safest way. A sexually active teenager that does not use contraceptive has a 90% chance of getting pregnant within the first year of being sexually active.

Traffic

I hate traffic. Well I'm sure that everybody does. I just don’t understand if we are all going in the same direction what is the hold up? And how come when someone is pulled over or if there is an accident everyone has to slow down and look? I mean what exactly are we looking at or looking for? There wouldn’t be to much that you can do about whatever is going on unless you know the person then I could understand. Can we stop being so nosey and keep the traffic moving please.

Sleep Baby Sleep

I hated it when my baby would stay up at night and I couldn’t get any sleep. After awhile I found some strategies that worked out pretty well. I started doing the same bedtime routine so that my son would know that it was almost bedtime. We would eat dinner, take a bath and I would read bedtime stories. Then I would put a chair on the side of his bed and sit in it so that he would know that I was near but each night I would move the chair further and further out of the room. Now he sleeps like a baby. And so do I.

Potty Time

I had a rough time training my three year old son to go potty but we finally got it together. I started off with the same potty routine as the rest of the parents. Sit him down on the potty give some snacks or some toys and praise him when he did the do. Unfortunately that didn’t work for Mr. Christopher. I even tried to give him privacy by letting him go into the bathroom and closing the door. That didn’t go well either. I started to get a little stressed out because I was thinking I am a female how am I spouse to teach my son to go potty. So I thought that I would try letting him stand to go pee. It worked but then we had a new problem he had no aim. I had to try to figure out a way to get him to aim into the water. I put cheerios in the water and told him that he had to hit the cheerios. That worked out well. I’m proud of him and myself.

After Thanksgiving

I thought that I would enjoy after thanksgiving sales. It was my first time going and I hated it. Although there were good sales going on I couldn’t wait in the long lines to purchase anything, on top of trying to find parking. I’m surprised that no one gets hurt the way those ladies are out there shopping. Everyone has their walking shoes on and mean business.

Seat Belts

You always here horror stories about how people have gotten badly injured or killed for not wearing their seatbelts. So how come there are so many of us who don’t? Being safe and avoiding a high ticket is better that trying to look cool. Take the extra 5 seconds to click it.

To Military or Not to Military

I always wondered why you can go join the army at the age of 18 but you have to be 21 to buy liquor. I think that we should put a stop to that and I also think that they shouldn’t be able to draft people. How is this the “land of the free” when you can get snatched from off your living room couch and placed on a battle field? Boy do we have a way of contradicting ourselves.

What Happened

You know when a good relationship starts off it is like the best thing in the world to you. As time goes by you start to get to know each other better. First couple of months you got a man that uses his manners and is very polite. You feel like you got the perfect guy. Then a lot of time goes by and he shows his true colors. Now you can’t stand him and the relationship end when all he had to do was be his self from the beginning.

What to wear

I know that everybody has their own since of fashion but there are certain dos and don’ts when it comes to clothes. Big girls please stop getting a medium when you know that you need an extra large. I know that I would rather be comfortable before anything else. I tired of seeing ladies in way to tight jeans. Now tight is ok but anything else is asking for a yeast infection. If your pants are to short don’t think that you can put on some shoes that come above the ankle and no one will notice because we do. For the fellas please I’m begging you to stop wearing the t shirts that come down to your kneecaps. Whatever happened to ironing our clothes? I just want all of us to stay fresh to death.

It’s my body I can do what I want to.

So first it was an argument about abortions now they have put restriction on getting your tubes tied. In the state of Wisconsin you have to be 25 or have 3 or more kids before they will tie your tubes. Personally I don’t think that this is far because I think that I should have the right to decide what is right for my body. The world is all jacked up. You can get body piercings and tattoos but you can’t get your tubes tied. Isn’t that something to think about

Laser Tag

The LAPD has come up with this bright idea to make pursuits safe. They want to try laser tagging wireless tracking devices to the car that they have in pursuit. So that way, they don’t have to do high speed chases where people are liable to get hurt. That is stupid because anyone could just ditch the car that they are in.

Who said?

I always wondered who said that a lady has to carry a purse but if a man does than he is considered to be “funny”. Who decided on yes means yes and no means no. How can someone tell me what is and isn’t lady like. Just because the media portrays for a woman or a man to be a certain way doesn’t mean that that is the way it has to be.
